Welcome to my blog. This is my first foray into the blogging world, and there are a few logistical things about this blog that I should get out of the way before I really start writing:
1) I'm planning on mostly just posting photos, and maybe writing about a few key parts of the process, so this isn't going to be one of those tedious, "today I woke up at 8:30 and had french toast and jam for breakfast and then had to go to the hardware store to pick up some washers since I forgot to get them yesterday..." kind of blogs. Where I do write, I'll try to keep is succinct and provide just the info necessary. And try to make it interesting. Yeah interesting.
2) I'm hoping that by writing and providing pictures about the whole process from start to finish, that I may help convince someone (or someones?) to consider hybrid natural building at some point in the future. Additionally, a lot of the techniques I'm going to be using are more or less experimental, so I'll try and provide more info about those and less about the more standard stuff.
3) I'm sure I'll mention this again later, but I would love to have help building this thing. If you think it would be fun to help out, then let me know (e-mail, phone, etc.). All that I ask is that you are willing to commit a full morning or afternoon to the project (i.e. no showing up for 30 minutes and then peacing). If you don't have any construction skills, thatÂ’s totally fine - much of the process requires little in the way of construction skills, and the rest I can teach you.
All right, so on to the project...
